Rivet Logic Adds More to Enterprise Systems

Enterprise systems power most major businesses and technology companies are always researching new ways to improve them.  According to PRWeb, one company has made major headway in the enterprise market: “Rivet Logic Announces Availability for Crafter River Version 2.1.”  Rivet Logic specializes in open source content, collaboration, and social business solutions.  They recently released Crafter Rivet version 2.1, an enterprise software solution designed to be a user-friendly tool for building and managing Web content and the Web site visitor experience.  The visitor experience includes applications for mobile applications, social community platforms, intranets, enterprise Web sites, and many other content-rich features.

Here is a little background information on Crafter Rivet:

Built on Alfresco, the leading open platform for content management, Crafter Rivet offers not only a rich application feature-set, but also the robust set of content management services and extensible framework provided by the underlying Alfresco content repository. Crafter Rivet is the leading Web CMS application for Alfresco.  The newly released Crafter Rivet version 2.1 includes an upgrade to the latest Alfresco 4.x release, a new forms engine with drag and drop content type creation, an improved Crafter Search API based on Apache Solr, enhanced template and presentation macro support, tools for easy conversion from Alfresco version 3.x, new support for the Oracle database, and several performance enhancements and bug fixes.

Apache Solr has proven to be an aggressive, powerhouse in creating searchable content from mounds of data.  Though it begs the question, if an enterprise solution company has the experience to build a robust search application?  LucidWorks has created its own enterprise search solution, which augments technology from other companies.
