Liferay isn’t just talking a good game they have the numbers to back it up.  Over the last few years they have experienced a double-digit year-over-year growth and this past year was no different.  At the end of 2011 they had recorded a 55 percent jump in revenue when compared to the previous year.  In addition they have expanded their workforce and are now present in 12 countries with plans for more international offices in the near future.  Open source is definitely the way to go in the enterprise world as shown by notable companies such as LucidWorks.  If Liferay can continue to keep up the pace the sky’s the limit.
