Andrew Feldman of DataStax Gains Promotion

Big news from DataStaxMarketWire tells us that “DataStax Appoints Silicon Valley Entrepreneur Andrew Feldman to Board of Directors.”  DataStax is known for its great strides in enterprise software apps and the company has decided to add Andrew Feldman to Board of Directors.  Andrew Feldman is a well-known name in Silicon Valley.  Feldman is an investor/entrepreneur with a talent of advancing products from inception to launch as well as specializing in customer needs.

Both Feldman and DataStax are excited about the new opportunities this presents for each of them:

‘Andrew is not only an accomplished business strategist, but also an independent entrepreneur who has experience in a number of industry sectors, from server technology to capital investment,’ said DataStax CEO Billy Bosworth. ‘His rich experience developing winning products and focusing on customers is a real asset to DataStax, as we continue to displace traditional relational database systems, and expand our market share.’

Feldman’s own response:

’DataStax is revamping the landscape in the database market in much the same way that SeaMicro is disrupting the server market — so naturally DataStax and I are a great fit,’ Feldman said. ‘This is an exciting time for DataStax, which is enabling enterprises to outpace customer expectations and meet increasingly complex market demands.’

DataStax is moving on up and making strides to further itself in the enterprise marketplace.  LucidWorks is doing the same with its enterprise search application.
